Surgery and Anesthesia
Veterinary hospital- Medicine and Procedures

Most pets will undergo surgery at some point during their lives. Even a procedure that is considered routine (such as a spay) is an internal abdominal procedure and is not taken lightly. We use modern anesthetic techniques and protocols and surgery is performed under the same rigid types of standards that apply in human hospitals. The anesthetic protocol will be tailored for each animal’s individual needs
During an anesthetic procedure a trained Registered Animal Health Technologist or a trained Veterinary Assistant will monitor your pet. We also have advanced monitoring equipment, which continuously measures your pet’s heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature and ECG. This equipment loads the information wirelessly to our computer and is attached to your pet’s file.
During anesthetic procedures we always have your pet on a temperature controlled, warm water circulation blanket. We also have a warm air blanket to cover your pet to help maintain their body temperature.
We have an in house autoclave to sterilize our equipment between uses. We would be happy to provide you with a tour of our facility. Please call to schedule an appointment.
